Hi, I'm Naomi, I have been professionally grooming for 4 years. I have been working around dogs for the better part of 12 years, and still love it. I have taken and been certified in: - Bather & Brusher (2019) - Clean Like A Microbiologist (2019) - Dog & Cat CPR and First Aid (2012 - present) - Skin & Coat Health (2024) While I genuinely like grooming any and all breeds, "snow breeds" (Husky, Malamute, Samoyed, Great Pyrenees, etc.) are by far my favorite. They are a lot of work, but when a dog comes in molting, the end result makes it worth it. And, the blowouts are very satisfying! These "snow breeds" also tend to be more difficult to groom, so I have a lot of experience and know-how about how to handle dogs that need that extra attention. Whether it's aggression, anxiety or fear, maintaining both dog and groomer safety is my top priority! I won't push a dog into a situation that is unsafe or could cause pain. Humanity over vanity! I also believe that groomers and owners are a team! We have to work together to maintain your dog's health, comfort and coat! Keeping a regular grooming schedule is the best thing you can do for your dog's skin & coat health and quality, whether it's a full shave down or fancy fluffy cut.
